ST PAUL, MN – In conjunction with the Minnesota Wild, Minnesota Hockey and the Hastings Local Organizing Committee, FanDuel Sports Network announces coverage plans for Hockey Day Minnesota (HDM), presented by UnitedHealthcare.
United Heroes League's outdoor rink in Hastings will serve as the venue for the 20th annual statewide hockey celebration, hosting eight days of competition culminating on Saturday, January 24, when the Wild hosts the Florida Panthers at Grand Casino Arena at 8 p.m. CT in Saint Paul.
FanDuel Sports Network’s HDM coverage on Saturday, January 24th will feature 14 hours of continuous, live hockey programming, including a variety of Hockey Day content, three high school games as well as the Wild vs. Panthers match-up in primetime.
“Hockey Day Minnesota Live” will begin at 9 a.m. CT and be anchored from a Hockey Day set located in Hastings. The network will have an entire team of on-air talent reporting from Hastings throughout the day, including Audra Martin, Jamie Hersch, Dani Brodzinski, Kevin Gorg, Ryan Carter, Anthony LaPanta, Sam Ekstrom and Parker Fox.
Coverage will move to Grand Casino Arena in St. Paul for the Wild-Panthers game with Audra Martin and Wes Walz hosting the pregame show at 7:30 p.m. CT. Anthony LaPanta and Alex Stalock will call the game with Kevin Gorg reporting sideline.
Following Wild Live postgame coverage, FanDuel Sports Network will debut a special 30-minute documentary called “ONE WINONA: The Making of a Hockey Town”. In the southeastern corner of the State of Hockey, sits a small town with big hockey dreams. ONE WINONA: The Making of a Hockey Town provides an intimate portrait of what it takes to become a hockey town, and more importantly why you’d want to be one in the first place.
