FANDUEL SPORTS NETWORK ANNOUNCES DOUBLE-DIGIT STREAMING AND LINEAR AUDIENCE GROWTH FOR MIAMI HEAT GAMES
Streaming viewership +67% and linear TV +29% vs. last year
MIAMI – With more ways to watch the Miami HEAT than ever before, FanDuel Sports Network has seen double-digit growth in both streaming and linear TV viewership for HEAT games through the start of the 2025-26 NBA season.
The number of unique streamers for HEAT games on FanDuel Sports Network is up 67% compared to the same period last year, with the total minutes streamed up 95%. These metrics include streaming on the FanDuel Sports Network app among direct subscribers and fans who authenticate through a pay-TV provider, plus subscribers to the FanDuel Sports Network channel on Prime Video.
Miami’s Nov. 24 win over the Dallas Mavericks had the largest streaming audience for a HEAT regular season game in at least three years. For the season, HEAT fans are streaming an average of 87.5 minutes per game.
Linear household viewership of the HEAT is also up 29% in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale television market, according to Nielsen Media Research. That includes fans watching FanDuel Sports Network Sun through cable, satellite and virtual streaming providers.
On Saturday, the HEAT’s broadcast team was honored with the 2025 Suncoast Regional Emmy Award for a live sporting event season, winning in that category for the fourth consecutive year.
“The HEAT have been one of the best stories in the NBA this season on the court, and they have also been a great partner in helping promote all of the ways fans can watch games on FanDuel Sports Network,” said Damon Phillips, Executive Vice President of Team Partnerships for FanDuel Sports Network Florida/Sun. “We’re thrilled with the audience growth so far, and we’re excited to showcase our award-winning broadcasts to even more viewers heading into 2026.”
As part of its multiplatform approach, FanDuel Sports Network has partnered with the HEAT and WPLG to simulcast three games so far on Local 10. The combined audience from the simulcast of Miami’s Nov. 29 game against the Detroit Pistons made it the most-watched local HEAT regular-season telecast since April 2024.
Nine more HEAT games this season will be simulcast on Local 10.
“We have a really cool and unique synergy with FanDuel Sports Network and WPLG,” said Michael McCullough, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of the Miami HEAT. “These viewership numbers are awesome and a testament to our teamwork in delivering HEAT basketball to our fans.”
“These simulcasts have expanded our HEAT audience, and we hope fans who have enjoyed watching on Local 10 will join us for even more games on FanDuel Sports Network,” Phillips added. “We appreciate WPLG and the HEAT for their collaboration in bringing new viewers to our telecasts.”
This season’s audience growth comes as FanDuel Sports Network continues to increase accessibility through its direct-to-consumer platform and strategic partnerships with Prime Video and FanDuel.
