Timberwolves Broadcast Team on FanDuel Sports Network
“As we tip off another thrilling season of Timberwolves basketball, we're proud to showcase a powerhouse broadcast team featuring trusted veteran voices and exciting new talent,” states Larry Holm, FanDuel Sports Network’s Vice President of Production overseeing live NBA coverage.
Jim Peterson is back as lead analyst all season long, and Michael Grady will call play-by-play on select games. While Grady’s broadcast responsibilities on FanDuel Sports Network will be scaled back as he takes on a new role calling national NBA broadcasts, he will continue to be an indispensable play-by-play voice for the network.
“We are proud of Michael Grady’s expansion into NBA national broadcast and happy we can continue working with him this upcoming season as a valued member of our Timberwolves broadcast team,” said Randy Stephens, Executive Vice President of Team Partnerships, FanDuel Sports Network. “Michael’s connection with fans and deep knowledge of the Timberwolves make him an integral part of our coverage, and we look forward to his continued presence in market.”
When Grady is fulfilling national broadcast duties, Alan Horton, long-time Timberwolves radio play-by-play voice, will lead the call. They will be joined by Lea B. Olsen, sideline reporter for home games. Marney Gellner returns as the host of “Wolves Live” before and after every regular-season home game featuring analysis from current Minnesota Lynx assistant coach Rebekkah Brunson as well as other contributors.
Cayleigh Griffin and Ashley Stroehlein join this season as new contributors to FanDuel Sports Network’s Timberwolves coverage this season. They will share sideline reporter duties as well as host pre- and postgame shows for road games. In her 10th season with the NBA, Griffin brings years of broadcast experience, including reporting and hosting for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs. Stroehlein brings over a decade of experience to Wolves Basketball that includes hosting and reporting for the Charlotte Hornets, ESPN college football, NFL Network, NASCAR, and SiriusXM.
Also new this season, pregame and postgame shows will be broadcast directly from the game floor, offering fans a more immersive and up-close experience before tipoff and after the final buzzer.
“We continue to look for ways to make our game broadcasts more than just a show - they’re an experience,” said Holm. “Upgrading our primary pre- and postgame show location to be down on the floor will capture the sights and sounds of the players and the energy of the arena, bringing our viewers closer to the action than ever before.”
