BLUE JACKETS AND FANDUEL SPORTS NETWORK ANNOUNCE BROADCAST TEAM AND LOCAL TV SCHEDULE FOR 2025-26 REGULAR SEASON
Network expands broadcast team and offers multiple viewing options as regular season opens Thursday, October 9
COLUMBUS – The Columbus Blue Jackets and FanDuel Sports Network announced today the 2025-26 television schedule, broadcast team lineup, and expanded viewing options for fans this season.
As the Blue Jackets are set to celebrate their 25th season, FanDuel Sports Network, the local home for Blue Jackets hockey, is set to televise and stream 76 games during the 2025-26 regular season as well as live pre- and postgame shows.
The Jackets open their 25th NHL season on Thursday, October 9 at 8 p.m. ET against the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena. FanDuel Sports Network’s coverage that night will begin at 7:30 p.m. with Blue Jackets Live pregame show.
The Blue Jackets will celebrate their home opener at Nationwide Arena on Monday, October 13 with a 7 p.m. ET matchup against Metropolitan Division rival New Jersey Devils. The network will cover the team’s Opening Night festivities with a special hour-long Blue Jackets Live pregame show beginning at 6 p.m.

Blue Jackets Live pregame show will air 30 minutes prior to every regular season game providing commentary, features, and in-depth pregame coverage. Immediately following the final horn of each game, the postgame edition of Blue Jackets Live will feature highlights, player interviews and analysis.
Starting Oct. 27, the all-new “FanDuel Sports Network Live Countdown” will air weekdays one hour prior to the start of Blue Jackets Live. Hosted by Stan Verrett, the show will tap into the network’s regional talent lineup to give fans an inside look at each nightly matchup, combining on-site reporting and analysis, look-ins to warmups, breaking news and more.
Broadcast Team
Steve Mears will continue to be the Blue Jackets’ play-by-play announcer on FanDuel Sports Network and Jody Shelley is back as lead analyst. John Davidson will contribute as analyst for select games when Shelley is fulfilling national broadcast duties.
Dave Maetzold returns to report rink-side all season long.
Brian Giesenschlag will host “Blue Jackets Live” pre- and postgame shows alongside analyst Jean-Luc Grand-Pierre for all home games.
New this season, road pre- and postgame shows will be hosted by Maetzold with Grand-Pierre and broadcast directly from road arena, offering fans a more immersive and up-close experience of the action.
A new contributor to FanDuel Sports Network this season, Mike Kelly, the director of analytics and insights for Sportlogiq, will give fans an even deeper understanding of what’s happening on the ice.

Jackets fans across the regional broadcast territory will have a variety of ways to catch the action this season on FanDuel Sports Network.
