Streaming Troubleshooting & Video Quality Issues
Seeing a frozen screen, poor video, or are you simply unable to watch? Try these easy, step-by-step fixes. We’ve included instructions for web, mobile, streaming devices, and for those using TV provider access.
Troubleshooting Common Issues (All Platforms)
- Check if the game is available to stream in your region. Some broadcasts may be blacked out due to licensing restrictions.
- Update your app or browser. Always ensure you have the latest version installed—it often resolves many problems.
- Test your internet speed. If your connection is slow, the video may freeze or lag. Use any online speed test to check.

My Video Freezes, Skips, or Doesn’t Play
On Mobile Devices:
- Close other apps (like games or email) that may be slowing your device.
- Move closer to your WiFi router or ensure your signal is strong.
Completely close the FanDuel Sports Network app, wait a few seconds, and reopen it.
On a Computer or Laptop:
- Refresh the webpage or close and reopen your browser.
- Make sure your computer’s operating system and browser are up-to-date.
- Update your video card’s drivers—this helps with playback.
Turn off Hardware Acceleration, or increase your computer’s Virtual Memory for smoother streaming.
Streaming Device Help (Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, etc.)
- Ensure your device has the latest app version. If you're still seeing the old Bally Sports app logo, delete that app and install FanDuel Sports Network from your app store.
- Check your internet connection strength on Roku:
- Press the Home button on your Roku remote.
- Navigate to Settings → Network → About.
- Roku will show signal levels like Poor, Fair, Good, or Excellent.
- If the signal is weak, move your router closer or use a WiFi extender to boost performance.
- For Amazon Fire TV / Fire TV Stick users:
- Try removing and reinstalling the app if playback is choppy.
- Ensure your device firmware is up to date, and other running apps aren’t slowing it down.
