FANDUEL SPORTS NETWORK, NHL AND LA KINGS PARTNER TO DELIVER INNOVATIVE ALTERNATIVE BROADCAST: KINGS STAT TRACK

Last updated Apr 2025

LOS ANGELES – FanDuel Sports Network, in partnership with the National Hockey League (NHL) and the LA Kings, today announced they will team up to deliver Kings Stat Track, an innovative game production designed to bring fans an engaging, educational and data driven viewing experience. The broadcast will air on FanDuel Sports Network SoCal on Monday, April 7 at 7:30pm, featuring the Seattle Kraken vs. Kings.

Unique Stats and Analytics Integration

Kings Stat Track will leverage a high corner camera and select cameras throughout Crypto.com Arena to offer fans a different perspective. Unlike the traditional FanDuel Sports Network broadcast, Kings Stat Track will integrate a real-time player and puck tracking system provided by NHL EDGE, the league’s data and analytics platform, consistently tagging the puck carrier and highlighting puck movement.

Complementing the tracking system, SportsMEDIA Technology will provide Hockey Information and Tracking System (HITS) for official scoring, and the capture, distribution and visualization of game data. The broadcast will provide real-time insights, including player names and positioning, line changes, skate and puck speeds, shot and save analytics, face-off probability, and more.

"We’re thrilled to partner with the NHL and LA Kings to bring fans an innovative way to experience the game,” said Jay Rothman, Executive Producer, FanDuel Sports Network. "With Kings Stat Track, we're giving viewers a deeper look into the game without overwhelming them. It’s all about striking the right balance, highlighting key insights in a way that’s engaging, educational and enjoyable.”

Studio and Talent

Kings Stat Track will be produced and broadcast from the NHL Production Studio in New York City and jointly hosted by Carrlyn Bathe, LA Kings rinkside reporter, and Mike Kelly, NHL Network and Sports on Prime Canada Analyst and SportLogiq’s Director of Analytics & Data Insights. Bathe and Kelly will deliver the broadcast with natural sounds from the game, while the traditional broadcast audio with Nick Nickson and Jim Fox is integrated periodically.

The alternative broadcast will air live on FanDuel Sports Network SoCal, FanDuelSportsNetwork.com, and the FanDuel Sports Network app, alongside the traditional game broadcast on FanDuel Sports Network West.

Fans can stream both Kings broadcasts on the FanDuel Sports Network app and at FanDuelSportsNetwork.com by authenticating with their pay TV credentials or subscribing directly to the network. The FanDuel Sports Network app is available for download on iOS, Android, and Windows PCs and tablets. It is also available on connected device platforms.
